FAQ

Common Questions About Auria Products

What products does Auria offer for space operations?

Auria offers four product families: HeliOS for mission planning and scheduling, Crucible for battlespace readiness and training, Sentry for autonomous cybersecurity, and Beacon for tactical communications hardware. These provide capabilities for constellation management, sensor tasking, orbital warfare training, and zero-day threat detection. All products are commercially licensed COTS software deployed across government and commercial customers.

What is COTS software and why does it matter for space missions?

COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software is pre-built, licensed software that is ready to configure and deploy without a multi-year custom development contract. Auria's COTS products like Astro Scheduler and CPAW are already operationally deployed and proven across multiple customers. COTS also brings flexibility and scalability to handle any type of mission and any type of asset. Well-documented UIs and APIs make integration and operation straightforward. And because updates are driven by many customers, you get consistent new features, technology updates, and performance improvements.

Can I buy individual Auria products or do I need the full platform?

You can purchase individual products, integrate multiple products, or use the full platform—Auria's modular architecture supports all approaches. Open architecture with API integration means no vendor lock-in, and products work with your systems without requiring complete infrastructure replacement.

How long does it take to deploy Auria software products?

Within days, Auria can configure a product with an initial model ready for analysis, testing, and integration. Most operational HeliOS deployments complete initial integration in about 6 to 12 months. Full operational adoption then follows the customer's own timeline, which can run longer depending on mission requirements and existing infrastructure.

Who currently uses Auria products?

Auria products serve government, commercial, and international users. Government users span US Space Force, Special Operations Command, the Intelligence Community, NOAA, NASA, and the Missile Defense Agency. Commercial customers include a commercial imagery operator and additional commercial operators worldwide. BORG is the tool of record for STARCOM space training. Heimdall provides sensor tasking for the US Space Force. EASI manages enterprise mission planning and contact scheduling for NOAA. Customers range from satellite operators to ground station operators, imagery users, and SDA sensor operators.

What makes Auria different from large defense primes?

Auria delivers startup speed with prime-level capability. We're effectively sized to win complex prime contracts, agile enough to make decisions in days, with every program manager one or two levels from the CEO. Open architecture prevents vendor lock-in, and provides flexibility to legacy architectures and innovative new systems.

Can Auria products manage large satellite constellations?

Yes. HeliOS software—including Astro Scheduler, CPAW, APS (Autonomous Planning System), SpyMeSat, Heimdall, and KOS—is designed for automated, optimized constellation management, handling thousands of satellites through optimization, orchestration, and deconfliction. These products manage complex multi-satellite operations across LEO, GEO, and deep space orbits for customers like NOAA, Space Force, commercial, and international operators. The technology generates deconflicted schedules far faster than manual planning approaches. In many cases, large problems are broken down so that each replan is done in less than a second.

How does Auria integrate products with existing space systems?

Auria products use open architecture with API integration, allowing connection to existing satellite ground systems, mission control infrastructure, and tactical networks without requiring changes to existing operational interfaces. Auria products adapt to existing interfaces through interface modules that leverage and translate between the existing Auria API and the customer API. Heimdall integrates with government and commercial sensor networks. Astro Scheduler has existing operational interfaces with multiple government and commercial communications networks, and new network interfaces are easy to add as needed. Beacon hardware uses software-defined, waveform-agnostic radios that update in the field. No rip-and-replace required—Auria products work alongside legacy systems while modernizing capabilities incrementally.

What classification levels do Auria products support?

Auria products operate at all classification levels from unclassified through TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information) for both government and commercial entities. HeliOS products support classified space operations for the Intelligence Community and Space Force. BORG training operates in secure facilities including the National Space Defense Center. Products are designed with appropriate security controls, access management, and data segregation to meet classification requirements while maintaining operational effectiveness across security domains. Daily builds with automated security scanning keep products current and hardened.

How does Cyntros AI cybersecurity compare to a traditional security product or other commercial tools?

Independent testing shows Cyntros AI detects malicious network activity missed by leading endpoint and enterprise security products. Cyntros AI uses patented unsupervised machine learning specifically designed for space system networks, detecting zero-day threats and advanced persistent threats without requiring signatures, rules, or predefined patterns. The system is 97% effective against CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities and deploys same-day with no agents, no downtime, and zero disruption to operations—critical for continuous space mission execution.

Are Auria products available for commercial and international customers?

Yes. Auria products serve both government and commercial customers, with international availability subject to EAR and/or ITAR compliance, where appropriate. Most products are not ITAR unless configured for ITAR-controlled sensors. KOS is bundled by multiple international OEMs for commercial satellite programs. SpyMeSat provides satellite imagery to commercial customers around the world. Keplera is the ITAR-compliant version of BORG for non-government and foreign customers. Commercial satellite operators license Astro Scheduler, CPAW, and other HeliOS products. Dual-use technology serves defense and commercial space markets.

What is the difference between HeliOS, Crucible , Sentry, and Beacon?

HeliOS provides optimized mission management and orchestration for space intelligence, mission planning, and SATCOM management (products like Astro Scheduler, APS, CPAW, SpyMeSat, Heimdall). Crucible provides battlespace readiness and training (BORG, Keplera). Sentry delivers autonomous cybersecurity using unsupervised machine learning for threat detection. Beacon offers tactical edge hardware including software-defined radios and digital ground stations connecting space to warfighters. Each family addresses different mission needs but integrates through open architecture when customers require full C3 platform capabilities from orbit to the tactical edge.
